Green Tea Pound Cake

Ingredients
·         2 large eggs
·         1 cup of flour
·         2/3 cup of sugar
·         ½ cup of butter
·         1 tablespoon of green tea powder (maccha or matcha)
·         ½ teaspoon of baking powder

Directions

Creamed butter
1.       Butter has to be at room temperature.
2.       Beat the butter on low speed until it becomes creamy.
3.       Add sugar into the bowl and continue beating on low speed to mix it together.
4.       When the sugar is mixed in increase the speed to medium and continue beating.
5.       When you first add in the sugar the butter will be very sandy keep beating it until it’s a creamier and less sandy texture.
6.       When it’s finished the color of the mixture will be off-white, and the texture will thick and creamy like mayonnaise and is only a little sandy.

Pound cake
1.       Preheat oven to 340° F
2.       Add eggs to butter mixture.
3.       Sift in the flour, backing powder, and green tea powder together then add it to the butter mixture.
4.       Pour the batter into a buttered loaf pan. Bake in oven for 30-40 minutes.
